Stories of finding faith, and God’s faithfulness in the middle of unfinished things

We love stories with happy endings. The breakthrough. The answered prayer. The restoration we've been waiting and praying for.

But what about the stories that are still unresolved? The prayers we don't know how to pray anymore. The questions that are still unanswered. The dreams that didn't come true. The places where we're still waiting, still grieving, or still learning to trust.

Unresolved Stories is a new blog, featuring honest stories from people who are discovering the faithfulness of God in the middle of unfinished and imperfect circumstances.

Sometimes the most meaningful evidence of God's faithfulness isn't found in how the story ends, but in how He meets us while we're still living it.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

We welcome stories about:

  • Unanswered prayers and seasons of waiting.

  • Grief, loss, and disappointment.

  • Dreams that didn't come true.

  • Relationships that remain complicated or broken.

  • Unexpected life changes.

  • Faith struggles, doubts, and difficult questions.

  • Stories of God's provision, presence, and faithfulness in the midst of uncertainty.

These are not required categories. If you have a story that fits the heart of this series, we'd love to hear it.

Your submission should include:

  1. Your story. Share what happened and what remains unresolved.

  2. Your experience of God. Where have you seen His faithfulness in the middle of your story? This might be through His presence, Scripture, people, provision, comfort, or something you are still learning to recognize.

  3. Where you are now. What are you still wrestling with, hoping for, or learning?

You don't need to provide a lesson, a perfect conclusion, or an inspiring takeaway. Honest reflection is enough.

Submission details

  • Length: Approximately 500–1,000 words.

  • Write in your own voice. We value honesty, vulnerability, and authenticity over polished prose.

  • Please submit original work that has not been previously published elsewhere.

  • Include a brief bio (approximately 50–100 words) and a photo, if available.

  • Please change names or identifying details when necessary to protect the privacy of others.

  • Submissions should reflect a Christian understanding of God's faithfulness while making room for honest questions and ongoing struggle.

A few things to know

  • This series is not about minimizing pain, forcing a happy ending, or suggesting that every difficult circumstance has an obvious explanation. We believe God can be faithful in stories that remain painful, confusing, and unresolved.

  • Please only share what you feel comfortable making public. You are welcome to hold details that are private or too tender to share.

  • By submitting, you give Tara Zimmer permission to consider your story for publication on her blog and to make reasonable editorial changes for clarity, length, and style.
